Bowling has long been one of America's favorite pastimes and the tradition continues at Academy Lanes with year-round bowling, seven days a week.
Academy Lanes is a complete bowling center located in the Community Center complex in Bldg. 5128 across from the BX.
There are 20 computerized lanes with automatic scoring. TV monitors allow you to watch other sporting events while you bowl. A snack bar and grill is open for lunch and dinner with weekday specials. For call-ahead orders or take-out service call 333-4252. Academy Lanes features free use of balls, rental shoes and lockers and a state-of-the-art video game room for kids of all ages.
The center features family recreational bowling as well as league play for men, women, mixed, youth, seniors and other groups. It also hosts the annual USAFA intramural and varsity bowling leagues.
Academy Lanes also has a fully equipped Pro Shop offering exceptionally low prices on top-quality bowling balls, bags, shoes and accessories for sale. The shop also features professional ball drilling. Custom shirts and other special items can be ordered through the Pro Shop, too!
Special bowling programs offered by the center are popular Thunder Alley bowling, Scotch Doubles Tournaments, late night and lunchtime discount bowling programs and holiday tournaments. Special bowling parties for birthdays, retirements, etc., can be arranged through Academy Lanes as well.
